01 / OVERVIEW
OVERVIEW
A sports park foundation should feel as reliable as the grounds it looks after.
Stichting Sportparkbeheer Beuningen manages Sportpark De Ooigraaf for its users, the municipality and local partners. The old website held the right information but buried it in text and tabs. The redesign keeps the official house style and turns it into a homepage that sends visitors to the right place.
01
Show the role
One screen explains what the foundation does, which park it manages and who it works with.
02
Route, don’t dump
Focus cards, previews and short sections lead visitors on to Sportpark, Gebruikers, Stichting, Media and Contact.
03
Feel local and active
Real photography, the red and blue house colours and a warm tone stay professional without feeling municipal.
02 / BRIEF AND ROLE
BRIEF AND ROLE
The brief: make the existing identity feel more modern, structured and professional online.
The brief
Design a renewed website that presents the foundation as a reliable, locally involved manager of the sports park, with a compact structure: Sportpark, Gebruikers, Stichting, Media and Contact.
My role
UI/UX designer. I designed the homepage and its mobile layout in Figma, explored three versions, and applied the Nunito house style with red and blue leading.
Scope
Homepage on desktop and mobile. The brief also describes the Sportpark, Gebruikers, Stichting, Media and Contact pages.
This is a design project. Screens use Dutch copy because the final website will be built in Dutch.
03 / THE STARTING POINT
THE STARTING POINT
The old site had the right information, but it was hard to scan.

BEFORE / HERO
A photo with no message
The hero is a wide aerial photo with no headline or call to action, so visitors do not learn what the foundation does.

BEFORE / INTRODUCTION
A wall of text beside a video
The introduction is one long paragraph next to a video, followed by a block about a single club, which makes the foundation look like a football association.

BEFORE / TABS
Content hidden behind tabs
Informatie, Gebruikers, Bestuur, Verleden & Heden and Publiciteit sit behind pill tabs, so nothing is visible until it is clicked.

BEFORE / CONTACT
A plain form and a thin footer
Contact is a basic form on a grey page, and the footer offers little more than two logos and legal links.
04 / PRINCIPLES
PRINCIPLES
Four rules from the brief kept the homepage clear, local and consistent.
01
Professional, not municipal
Clear hierarchy, white space and consistent cards keep the tone trustworthy without a heavy, official look.
02
Red and blue lead
The house red and blue carry buttons, labels and accents. Green and yellow support only specific blocks.
03
Introduce, then link
Each section is short and links onward, instead of putting all the content on one page.
04
More than a football club
Images and copy cover facilities, users, maintenance and community, not one association.
05 / MOBILE EXPERIENCE
MOBILE EXPERIENCE
The same homepage in one column: scroll inside the phone to see every section.

Homepage
The same eight sections in one column: hero, focus cards, facilities, users, news, vision and a closing call to action.
Scroll inside the phone. The navigation stays pinned at the top.
06 / THE HOMEPAGE
THE HOMEPAGE
Each section has one job, from what the foundation does to how to get in touch.

01
A clear promise first
The hero states the role in one line, offers two actions and keeps the navigation to five items.
02
Cards before detail
Three focus cards introduce management, users and quality before any long text.
03
Proof and a way in
News and the long-term vision build trust, and a photo-led block closes with a clear route to contact.
07 / VARIATIONS
VARIATIONS
Three versions were explored before the approved homepage.

08 / IMAGERY
IMAGERY
Photos of the fields, clubhouse, canteen and meeting rooms keep the design local and specific.

10 / OUTCOMES
WHAT THIS SHOWS
A text-heavy association site becomes a clear routing page.
This is a design case study, not a shipped product, so there are no live figures. It shows how structure, hierarchy and the existing house style change how a local foundation is understood.
01
Information design
A long text page becomes eight scannable sections with clear routes onward.
02
Brand-led UI
Red and blue from the official style lead, with green and yellow used sparingly.
03
Responsive design
A single-column mobile layout keeps the same sections, cards and calls to action.
04
Content strategy
Focus cards, user previews and news show who does what, without leaning on football alone.
